Willy McLied

Well how do you do young Willie McBride?

Do you mind if I sit down here by your graveside

And rest for a while ‘neath the warm summer sun

I’ve been walkin’ all day and I’m nearly done

I see by your gravestone you were only sixteen

When you fell for the lies about covid19

Well I hope you died quick and I hope you died clean

Willie McBride was it from the vaccine

Did they beat their chest slowly, Did they play your death lowly,

Did they push vaccinations as they lowered you down,

Did the media call it all tragic

Did your death just become a statistic

And did you leave eer a mother or father behind,

In some anguished heart is your memory enshrined,

And though you died back in 2021

To that loving parent you’re forever a son.

Or are you a stranger alone in your slumber

Forever enshrined an unfortunate number

In an old rebel tweet that’s since been deleted

And faded from memories as we were defeated

chorus

The sun shining down on these green fields of shame

The warm wind blows gently As we share the blame,

the lockdowns have vanished as we work to the grave,

now gas, barbed wire, guns firing us as  we slave

But here in this graveyard that’s still no mans land,

The countless white crosses in mute witness stand,

Till’ man’s blind indifference to his fellow man,

And a whole generation were poisoned and damned.

chorus

And I can’t help but wonder oh Willy McBride,

Do all those who lie here know why they died,

Did you really believe their vaccine was pure,

Did you really believe that their poison would cure

Well the suffering, the sorrow, the glory, the shame,

The killing and dying it was all done in vain,

Oh Willy McBride it all happened again,

And again, and again, and again, and again.
